Today was the big day...not the rocket launch, but sharing our project with the other teams in a public forum setting. What is the point of having ideas, if you cannot effectively communicate them to the world? An important part of the scientific method is communicating results with peers, so we delivered a cohesive presentation to share our payload design and lessons we learned along the way.
After giving a fabulous presentation, we also learned about the other teams and their experiments. In addition, the RockSat-C Program Manager, Audrey Viland, and the Director of the Colorado Space Grant Consortium, Chris Koehler, provided information about the future of this program as well as for RockSat-X and RockOn. Following the presentations and lunch, the initial plan was to take group pictures at the launch pad. Unfortunately, there was a lightning delay and the picture could not be taken. However, we did get a team photo close to the rocket (see below). With smiles on our faces and the presentation done, we are ready for the launch tomorrow morning at 5:30am!
